'Dance Moms' Season 6 Update: Miller Absent During Girls' Performance, Introduced New Mini Elite Group
American reality TV series "Dance Moms" is never short of drama whether it be on-cam or off-cam. The sixth season of the show is no different and it has even gone a whole new level as the dance instructor and owner of Abby Lee Dance Company, Abby Miller, is involved in 20 counts of fraud.
According to a report by Day Herald, the reality star has been behaving unevenly since the show returned. The moms of the show have noticed that Miller has been doing more shouting and screaming at the girls and less teaching and is even late in coming to class.
Later on, the moms found out that Miller has cases pending in court in Philadelphia. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette detailed that the moms of the show found out through an October "Good Morning America" segment. It detailed that the dance company owner had failed to report income, leading to federal charges of fraud.

In a report by Design & Trend, episode 3 of "Dance Moms" showed Miller leaving in the middle of a competition. After receiving a phone call from her attorney, Miller became emotional and broke down. The competition pushed through but Miller wasn't present to watch her students' performance.
Fortunately, the results of the performance in the competition was good. The group won first place for their hip-hop routine "Straight Outta Pittsburgh" and Kendall Vertes won first place under the teen division for her jazz routine "All Eyes On Me." Meanwhile, JoJo Siwa placed second for her routine "I'll Show You The Dark Side" in the pre-teen division.
The third episode also debuted the appearance of the Miller's new Mini Elite group which is composed of young girls as young as six years old. As detailed in International Business Times, the young girls in the new group are Alexus Oladi, Areana Lopez, Peyton Evans, Alysa Owen and Mia Ciociano.
