'Dancing With the Stars' Contestants Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey Seen Hugging Each Other Amidst Feud Claims
It looks like Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey finally made amends after their reported "Dancing With The Stars" feud.
The "DWTS" stars were recently spotted giving each other a hug after the end of their rehearsals, and it would appear as if they're finally putting the drama behind them. It should be remembered that during last Monday's airing of "Dancing With The Stars," co-host Erin Andrews announced that Maks Chmerkovskiy would be missing the show due to personal issues and that recently axed pro, Alan Berstein, would be filling out for him as Vanessa Lachey's dance partner.
Chmerkovskiy later addressed the issue in a series of Twitter posts saying: "As you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues. I take full responsibility for my absence." He went on to say that he wanted "to apologize to my partner Vanessa. We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!"
However, when news of his DWTS absence first broke out, it was claimed that he chose to skip the show because of a feud he may possibly have with his partner, Vanessa. It had been reported that the two could not seem to get along during rehearsals and that neither one of them was willing to back down. According to a source, Chmerkovskiy refused to rehearse with Lachey which is why Berstein had to step in.
Unfortunately for the duo, they aren't allowed to change partners as a source had revealed (via Entertainment Tonight) that the show wouldn't allow them to do so just because of their personal drama. "Drama is expected and part of the show. When you train with someone for so many hours so intensely, tensions can run high -- for better or worse. In this case, the intensity led to bickering," the source said.
Thankfully, it's looking like Maks and Vanessa are on the road to a new beginning.
