'Dancing With the Stars' Season 25 Theme, Cast News: Disney Classics Return; Pairs of Contenders Revealed
The fan-favorite and popular theme of Disney Night is returning in season 25 of "Dancing With the Stars." Meanwhile, the complete cast for the upcoming competition has been revealed.
In just a few days, the 25th season of "Dancing With the Stars" will finally air on ABC, and the network has been revealing all sorts of details to countdown to the show's premiere.
The most popular theme that will return this season is the show' Disney Night, ABC confirmed. Because the show is known to create wonderful ballroom pieces, it is expected that they will produce a waltz number to Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" with their best theme song, "Tale as Old as Time."
Other themes that have been confirmed for "Dancing With the Stars" season 25 are Latin Night and Guilty Pleasures Night, which will push the celebrities and their professional partners to dance to moves that they secretly love.
Meanwhile, executive producer Ashley Edens-Shaffer confirmed with TV Guide that they have a couple more surprises for the show's theme nights.
"We have the Trio Round, [and] we're hoping to bring back a former celebrity," teased Edens-Shaffer.
"We're going to potentially do an Iconic Dances Night, where our couples will repeat, reimagine, reinterpret an iconic dance from earlier seasons," the executive producer added.
Meanwhile, the full cast for "Dancing With the Stars" season 25 has been revealed on "Good Morning America," and among them are "Pretty Little Liars" alum Sasha Pieterse, Nick Lachey — known for being a member of 98 Degrees — and his wife, Vanessa, Variety confirmed.
The two-time "Dancing With the Stars" champion, Cheryl Burke, will be partnered with another National Football League (NFL) player, Terrell Owens. Burke has a strong chance of winning again this season since her partner in one of her win was also an NFL player.
"Dancing With the Stars" season 25 will premiere on Monday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
