'Dawn of War 3' Release Date, News Details: Game Slated for an April 27 Release With Three Editions
Sega and Relic's "Dawn of War 3" is confirmed to come out on April 27 for PC players, with three versions available for gamers to choose from.
The game is still part of the "Warhammer 40,000" universe and is created in partnership with Games Workshop.
The three available versions are the Standard, Limited and Collector's editions. Each edition has different kinds of freebies, with the Collector's Edition having more goodies, of course.
The Limited Edition contains a lenticular art card and the game's soundtrack as well as the premium disc book that contains the game. The Collector's Edition also contains the same stuff, but includes an additional Godsplitter Daemon Hammer and three cloth faction banners.
Those who get the Standard Edition will only get the game, but if players pre-order it, a Masters of War Skin Pack is given for free, which contains skins for Super Walker Elites.
All in all, there are three skins, namely The Dark Queen skin for Lady Solaria, The Ghost Seer skin for Farseer Taldeer, and The Big Kustom skin for Beauty.
The Standard Edition for "Dawn of War 3" is priced at $59.99. Meanwhile, the Limited and Collector's Editions are available for $64.99 and $129.99 respectively.
The game's description reveals that a war is going on and several armies are attacking the planet. These armies belong to the Ork warlord, Gorgutz, along with "ambitious Eldar seer Macha, and mighty Space Marine commander Gabriel Angelos."
Players are told that they "have no choice but to face your foes when a catastrophic weapon is found on the mysterious world of Acheron."
The game's executive producer, Stephen MacDonald, said that fans should "get ready for the biggest Dawn of War yet."
The minimum spec requirements for the game is a 64-bit Windows 7 with 3GHz i3 or equivalent, a 4GB RAM, and a 1GB nVidia GeForce 460 or AMD 6950 or equivalent DirectX 11 video card.
