Guggenheim said, "I would say very, very faithful to the comics incarnation with a touch more sass, a little bit more attitude. That might have had something to do with the fact that I wrote episode 11 and I can't seem to write characters without sass."

Hex will be seen in the upcoming episode titled "The Magneficent Seven," which will see Rip, played by Arthur Davill going on an adventure into the Old West. After running into some trouble, it was said that Rip will seek the help of Hex. Guggenhiem explained that fans will enjoy seeing the interactions between Rip and Hex.
