Demi Lovato YouTube Documentary on Oct. 17
Demi Lovato's new documentary will launch on YouTube on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Lovato, 25, chronicled the creative process behind her new album, "Tell Me You Love Me," which will be out on Friday, Sept. 29, in her documentary, titled "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated." Moreover, the feature-length film covers the singer's personal struggles through the years.
"My fans have been on this journey with me since I was 8-years-old and have shared in some of the most important moments in my life," the pop star said in a statement. "As I embark on a new journey both personally and professionally, it was important to me to create this documentary with a platform that would allow me to continue to bring my story directly to my fans."
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Lovato said that she initially struggled with the cameras invading her personal life and that getting used to it was a challenge. But when she was able to overcome that, she was able to become "completely vulnerable."
The documentary, after all, addresses her personal struggles, including her break-up with actor Wilmer Valderrama. They were together for six years and they called it quits back in 2016.
Apparently, she bared her soul in "Tell Me You Love Me," and wrote so much about her ex. Lovato believes that her fans will be able to tell who she is talking about through her lyrics. According to the singer, she has never been more honest about her love life.
"Tell Me You Love Me" is Lovato's sixth studio album. It features her hit single "Sorry Not Sorry." It also comes with more soulful tunes such as the title track "Tell Me You Love Me" and "You Don't Do It For Me Anymore."
"Simply Complicated" premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 17 on YouTube.
