Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Divorce Finalized; Actor Free to Propose to Mila Kunis

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher finalized their divorce on Tuesday two years after they initially separated.

The exes, who were married for six years, split in 2011 in the wake of affair reports. Kutcher, 35, filed to legally end the marriage on Christmas eve in 2012, but Moore, 51, disputed their finances, which ultimately prolonged the proceedings.

The Hollywood actress reportedly wanted spousal support from Kutcher, who is rumored to be worth $140 million, despite being worth significantly more than him. After months of bitter financial disputes, Moore and Kutcher recently agreed on a financial settlement prompting his attorney, Laura Wasser, to legally end their marriage on Tuesday, TMZ.com reported.

"Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi -- a lot more than she made -- but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn't owe her that much," a source told The New York Post prior to Tuesday's settlement.

In 2011 Kutcher, who reportedly earned $24 million in 2012 from the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men," was accused of engaging in an extramarital affair with another woman, which prompted Moore to leave him.

"As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," Moore said in a statement at the time.

Kutcher never publicly addressed the affair rumors, but he alluded to the challenges in his marriage in his own statement.

"I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi," Kutcher said on Twitter at the time. "Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world, and unfortunately sometimes they fail."

The actor has since moved on with actress Mila Kunis, and reports claim that he is eager to settled down in the near future. The couple, who began dating in 2012, have been talking marriage in babies in recent months and sources believe that an engagement is imminent.

"They're all happy and the papers are signed and with the lawyers now, so Ashton's free to officially propose to Mila," a source told the Sun U.K. "Both of them want to marry and have children."
