'Destiny 2' Pre-Order Bonus Available from GameStop Stores

Bungie finally announced its upcoming multi-player shooting game, "Destiny 2," for PCs, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Fans of the long-awaited sequel of "Destiny," which was released in 2014, can now pre-order the game through several retailers.

A pre-order bonus in the form of a Cayde-6 figurine is available for players who order their "Destiny 2" game from GameStop, but the store does not guarantee a same-day delivery with the game's actual release date.

The figurine is only available for players who pre-order a physical copy of "Destiny 2," be it from online or offline GameStop stores. Those who pre-order the game in-store will immediately get the bonus figurine when they pay for their item, while online pre-orders need to wait until its release.

Meanwhile, those who pre-order the game from Amazon will get the game on its actual release date, but the retailer does not offer any type of pre-order bonus.

Aside from its standard edition, "Destiny 2" also comes in three other different editions - a Digital Deluxe Edition, a Limited Edition and a Collector's Edition.

Each edition contains different extra contents, starting with the Digital Deluxe Edition that comes with an expansion pass, a Legendary Sword, a Cabal Empire Emblem, and a Legendary Player Emote.

The Limited Edition comes with the contents from the Digital Deluxe one, but it also has additional items such as a steelbook case and a Cabal-themed Collector's Box.

The Collector's Edition of course contains more items than the Limited edition and includes a frontier bag, a laptop sleeve, and a frontier kit consisting of a solar panel USB charger, a solar blanket and a paracord.

The events in "Destiny 2" centers on the occupation of the Red Legion after the last city on Earth crumbled into ruins. Players are tasked to play a "Guardian" who must master new weapons and hone their fighting skills in order to reclaim their home.

"We are looking forward to sharing a fresh, inviting story, and with the upcoming Destiny 2 Beta slated for this summer, we are eager to get feedback from millions of players around the world who will get a glimpse of the new adventures that will unfold for all of us," says Bungie CEO Pete Parsons, according to Express

"Destiny 2" is published by Activision and slated for a Sept. 8 release date.
