Donald Trump News: Republican Presidential Hopeful's Rochester Rally Attracts Over 7,000

On Sunday, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump took the Rochester airport by fire as he continues to prepare for the upcoming New York primary and with over 7,000 people in attendance, chants of "Trump! Trump!" rang across the area.

According to U.S.A Today, the United States Secret Service estimated that around 7,500 people attended the rally as the business mogul once again took time to explain his cause for the presidency.

"You need somebody fast, I know that. We're going to get it straightened out, folks. It's not going to be that hard. It's going to go quickly," Trump said to the thousands in attendance.

Since there was not enough space to allow all the people into site, many hundreds were reportedly turned away despite coming in hours earlier to hopefully secure spots close to Trump's stage.

While his speech tackled Rochester's economy, he also took time to slam Sentrysafe, the company that will close soon close its Linden Avenue plant to move to other states including Wisconsin.

Aside from talking about the city's alleged loss of jobs, the businessman also looked into the nomination process. According to Democrat & Chronicle, Trump confidently claimed that he will win the nomination even before the Republican convention takes place. However, he also slammed the nominations, calling it corrupt.

"It's a crooked system. They're taking your vote away. They are disenfranchising people who want to see America great again," he said.

The latest contests have been won by Ted Cruz and despite Trump's huge lead, the Texas senator's recent victories have posed a threat to his campaign. The most recent contest in Colorado reportedly enraged Trump as Cruz swept all 34 delegates in what could be one of his biggest wins yet.

On the other hand, experts are expecting Trump to win New York as the support for his campaign has been strong in the area. He needs to secure 1,237 delegates to win the Republican nomination before July's convention takes place.
