Doogee S6000 Specs, Release Date: Meet The Smartphone With A 4-Day Battery Life

Doogee may not be a popular smartphone maker outside of China, but with this new announced device, it may soon be.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Chinese manufacturer has just launched the world's first mobile phone that houses a massive 6,000mAh battery. In case you are wondering how long the phone's battery will last on a full charge, the company claims it to run for three to four days straight, depending on usage.

Dubbed as the Doogee S6000, the Android-powered smartphone packs not just a huge battery, but some decent specs as well. In the report, the device has a phablet-sized 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, an octa-core CPU running at 1.5GHz, a MediaTek MT6735 chipset, 1GB of RAM and a 16GB of built-in memory.

Other specs of the Doogee S6000 include a mediocre 8MP primary camera, although the device has a 5MP front shooter, which is enough treat for camera and selfie enthusiasts.

Interestingly, the device runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Doogee S6000 is said to be released in August of this year, and will cost around $139.99 in China. Considering the device's unique feature of battery life, the price tag should have been much lower without it.

But surely, no one will complain if you get a smartphone with decent specs at below $150, and with a battery that can run non-stop for three to four straight days.

Unfortunately, there are no details yet about whether Doogee will launch the device elsewhere aside from its home market.
