'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Latest News: Yamcha, Tien Shinhan and New Character Android 21 Gets Featured in Game's New Trailer, Screenshots
"Dragon Ball" is one of the most popular and most recognizable titles in the world, so many grew up either watching or hearing about the anime/manga series. With this, it definitely is no surprise if "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is one of the most anticipated games of recent times, and now, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer and a couple of screenshots, introducing a new character and a couple of playable old ones.
A new trailer for the highly anticipated "Dragon Ball FighterZ" has been released by Bandai Namco along with a couple of screenshots featuring the characters Yamcha and Tien Shinhan. It also introduced a new original character, Android 21. The trailer gives a brief introduction to what could be the "what if" campaign, described as a "forbidden story," centered on a revived Android 16 as he goes on a quest to hunt down Son Goku and the rest of the Z fighters.
As for Android 21, nothing much is known about the new character, but it is believed that she has the same level of intelligence as Dr. Gero. She reportedly is also the reason for Android 16's resurrection. Android 21 plays an integral role in the story mode of the game, and the development of her character was personally supervised by "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama.
These three characters were first introduced in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine. Yamcha is described as an "on-the-ground, close-range, rush-type fighter" making use of his signature "Wolf Gang Fist" while Tien Shinhan was given the description of a "high-performance fighter" who is able to overwhelm his enemies using a series of powerful moves and attacks.
"Dragon Ball FighterZ" is all set for release early next year on the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Furthermore, players who reserve a physical version of the game for the Xbox One and PS4 will be able to unlock an overpowered Super Saiyan Blue Goke and Vegeta.
