'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 17 Spoilers: Goku Tries to Earn a Training Session with Whis

In the upcoming episode of "Dragon Ball Super," which is titled "Keep This a Secret From Chi-Chi! I Wanna Go Train Too," Goku will find a way to become Whis' student, too.

According to the International Business Times, Goku will ask Bulma to help him get a training session with Whis, just like Vegeta. His son, Gohan, is skeptical and nervous about Goku's intent, and both are scared of Chi-Chi's reaction, if she knew about it.

In the promo teaser that was released by Toei Animation, Goku was seen sneaking to Bulma after her bath, which is probably to ask her to ask Whis to train him. In the latter part of the clip, Chi-Chi was seen fuming, when she saw Bulma and Goku talking, and Goku appears to be too scared of his wife. However, even if Chi-Chi is mad at Goku, nothing can stop the Super Saiyan God, since he was seen flying off to somewhere (probably to train with Whis) in one of the scenes.

At the beginning of "Dragon Ball Super," fans saw the world being threatened by the God of Destruction, Beerus. However, the Earth was spared from further destruction, after Goku concedes to Beerus, and the villain acknowledged Goku's power.

Knowing that there will always be new and powerful opponents to arrive, Vegeta decided to train and became Whis' pupil in the last episode, which is titled "Vegeta Becomes a Pupil." The episode is said to be the bridge that will connect the two "Dragon Ball" movies, "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" and "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F," according to Attack of the Fanboy.

In "Resurrection F," both Goku and Vegeta were already being trained by Whis, and the last episode showed fans how Vegeta got Whis to agree to train him. Vegeta took Whis to restaurants, and even cooked for him, but he finally convinced him by giving Whis instant noodles. Episode 16 showed the funny side of Vegeta, as well as the comic banter of Goku and Krillin.
