'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' Scheduled for February 2015 Release
Namco Bandai has announced confirmation for the release of their fighting game, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse." The game will be seeing a release for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC on February 5, 2015 for Japan, and February 17 for the U.S.
Pre-orders for the game are already ongoing with the game encased in a Shenron Black Metalcase inclusive of Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as a playable character and two exclusive Gold & Crystal versions of Freeza Soldier's Battle Suits for use in customizing player's avatars. A Collector's Edition has also been revealed called the Trunks Travel Edition which includes all pre-order bonuses with the addition of a 25-centimeter figurine of Trunks.
It has already been confirmed that players will be able to create custom characters which can level up and be used to fight in the main storyline. Customization options range from the character's race and gender, to the skills equipped. Characters generated by players can also be made into apprentices to any of the game's heroes/heroines to inherit the said hero/heroine's costume and skills.
Characters included in the roster range from Goku to Broly, with more characters spanning across the Dragon Ball's manga and anime series canon. The only new characters to be introduced are the Time Breakers Mira and Towa.
It has been hinted that there will be at least twenty-four playable maps, among those that have been revealed are: Rocky Area, Planet Namek, Cell Games Arena, Toki Toki City, Kami's Lookout, and the World Martial Arts Tournament Arena.
Two modes have been revealed, the story mode called Universe Mode where the player's custom generated character will attempt to stop the Time Breakers from altering the DBZ universe's history. The other mode is the Tenkaichi Budokai mode, a tournament mode where the player's custom generated avatar will also be able to participate.
