'Empire' Season 4 Spoilers: Lucious Tries to Get His Groove Back in Episode 5
The cat is out of the bag on the upcoming episode of "Empire" season 4.
Titled "The Fool," this week's episode will see the truth about Lucious' (Terrence Howard) memory finally revealed. Determined to protect the company, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) convinces the board that Lucious is fine by inviting media people to watch him produce a new album. Eddie (guest star Forest Whitaker) enters the scene and helps Lucious make music again.
Meanwhile, Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) is concerned about his secret involvement with the Lyons' rival, the DuBois family. Claudia (guest star Demi Moore) helps Lucious with the latest milestone in his recovery, as Andre's (Trai Byers) feelings for Det. Rose (guest star Teyonah Parris) continue to intensify. However, things take a complicated turn when she reveals information that has been uncovered following the tragic explosion.
The promo opens with Cookie having a heated argument with Hakeem about his daughter, Bella. Hakeem insists he "can't lose" Bella, but Cookie claims she just wants to protect her youngest son. Lucious seems to be regaining another part of his memory as he furiously tells Claudia, "I remember you."
Another scene shows Lucious back in the studio with Eddie as they work together on the first "20 for 20" album. Tiana (Serayah McNeill) explains to Hakeem that running away is not an option for them, while Cookie stresses that they must stick together now, more than ever.
With Cookie as the new boss, Henson previously told Variety that Eddie plays a vital role in the company because he helps her get things done. "People were doubting her because she's a woman, and they're used to Lucious heading the company," the actress said.
She added, "So Eddie plays a good second to Lucious and makes everybody feel more comfortable. You know how they do us! She had to go and get a man to make everybody feel better."
The fourth season of "Empire" airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
