ESPN Body Issue 2013: Kerry Jennings to Gary Player and More

Putting the feats of the human body on display, the EPSN will release its annual "Body Issue" on Friday although some pictures have already been leaked.

Photos of athletes who will appear in the 2013 ESPN Body Issue have been leaked on the Internet offering a sneak peak of the annual edition. The body issue features athletes who are at the peak of their game and at peak physical fitness.

"It's okay to stare. That's what The Body Issue is here for. Each year, we stop to admire the vast potential of the human form," the ESPN writes. "To unapologetically stand in awe of the athletes who've pushed their physiques to profound frontiers."

Some of those athletes in the 2013 edition include volleyball player Kerry Walsh Jennings, NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and golf champion Gary Player.

"It's such a scary thing," Jennings says as she prepares for her first shoot in the magazine. "It's the body issue. Its people who are strong and at the peak of their fitness and look at me. Here I'm nine months pregnant."

Jennings was photographed twice for the magazine, once while she was nine months pregnant. For the second shoot, Jennings only had two months to get back into her peak level of fitness.

Also inspiring is golf hall of famer Gary Player, better known as Mr. Fitness.

"I'll show you what I can do with my body at 77," the 24-time PGA tournament winner says during his ESPN shoot, taking a swing with his club. "And very few people can do that.

Fitness talks about how others have regarded him as crazy for sticking to such a strict fitness routines, especially for a golf player. But Player says he's not the one who is crazy.

"They're the nuts," he tells the cameras. "People who are my age, they're dead. I'm just beginning."

The ESPN Body Issue will hit magazine stands on Friday.
