Fallout 4 Release Date Still Unknown, No Further Details Released
"Fallout" is a post-apocalyptic role-playing series of video games first developed by Black Isle Studios before being acquired by Bethesda Softworks. Bethesda then were the ones to publish the third game, "Fallout 3." It's already been confirmed that the fourth installment is already in production but a release date is still unknown.
When Bethesda acquired the rights to the franchise, Pete Hines said, "The whole reason we went out and acquired the license and that we now own Fallout is that we clearly intended to make more than one. This is not something we're going to do once and then go away and never do it again."
"When that will be or how long that will be God only knows, but we acquired it specifically because we wanted to own it and develop it and work on it like we do with The Elder Scrolls," he added.
Speculations for a fourth Fallout game began as far back as last year when Fallout 3 voice actor Erik Dellums hinted in a twitter post that his character, Three Dog, would be returning. Following-up the tweet, he said that "I was given permission to release that tease."
It was also last year that gaming blog website, Kotaku, reported that the fourth Fallout installment was indeed in development. The confirmation was based off of voice casting documents which were proven authentic.
The voice script page which was then leaked began with the phrase, "War. War never changes."
The statement was the usual introductory line for the Fallout games.
