'Fargo' Season 3: New Trailer Shows Ewan McGregor as Emmit Stussy
In the previously released teaser for FX's anthology "Fargo," fans learn that Ewan McGregor will play two roles at the same time - Ray and Emmitt Stussy, twin brothers who have been embroiled in a sibling rivalry for some time.
The first teaser, however, only showed McGregor as Ray, but a new extended trailer now shows him playing the brother, Emmit, who is also known as the Parking Lot King of Minnesota.
In the new trailer, Emmit says that the place is not exactly the Minnesota he grew up in anymore. Nikki (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Ray's girlfriend and a parolee, then tells him that he is twice the man than his brother is, adding that they should go and kick ass.
The sibling rivalry between the Stussy brothers spiral out of control because of Ray's insecurity which he gained after always living under the shadow of his brother, Emmit.
Ray plots revenge, then their rivalry becomes complicated and entangled with cases of theft, murder and mob involvement.
Balding and pot-bellied, Ray was seen eating together with Nikki in a diner where Officer Gloria Burgle (Carrie Coon) watches them suspiciously as they leave the place and got inside a car.
Officer Burgle is also an interesting character in the third season of "Fargo." She is described as a chief of the local police department, and a newly-divorced mother who is trying to understand the fascination of most people who use phones as a way of communication.
"Fargo" season 3 also casts David Thewlis as V.M. Vargas, a mysterious and possibly double-dealing man whose bosses are also planning to partner with Emmit. Jim Gaffigan ("17 Again") and Michael Stuhlbarg ("A Serious Man") also have reported roles in the upcoming season.
The "Fargo" anthology series is based on the 1996 movie by the Coen brothers, and it won the Limited Series Emmy Award in 2014.
Season 3 is expected to air starting April 19 on FX.
