'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2 Spoilers: Can Travis and the Other Survivors Really Survive Out in the Water?

Since Strand (Colman Domingo) pitched in the idea to head out to the water than staying on land, many fans got excited to see the evolution of events in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2. Many viewers are curious to see whether Travis (Cliff Curtis) and his unconventional family will survive out in the Pacific Ocean.

The first season of "Fear the Walking Dead" ended with high TV ratings, according to the International Business Times, and has now loyal followers apart from those who are already following "The Walking Dead." Viewers saw a more human point-of-view from the spin-off series, which started when the first zombie outbreak began.

The premiere season followed the story of a dysfunctional family composed of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), her boyfriend, Travis Manawa, her two teenage children, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Nick (Frank Dillane). During their escape from the "walkers," Travis also brought his son, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie), and his ex-wife, Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez), as well as the barber, Daniel (Rubén Blades), who helped them before, and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), Daniel's daughter.

The last that the viewers have seen the survivors was in Strand's beachside mansion, and were all preparing to head out to the ocean. Liza was bitten by a zombie during their escape, and to avoid becoming one, she asked Madison to shoot her. Travis was the one who ultimately shot Liza, and according to "Fear the Walking Dead" showrunner, Dave Erikson, there will be a dynamic change between his relationship to Chris.

"His relationship with Chris was fraught and now they have this incredible weight between them and it's going to spin Chris off the planet a bit," Erikson said during his interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month. Besides carrying out the family drama on the boat, the showrunner also teased the fans on what's more there is to see in the upcoming season of the show. When asked if the "walkers" can walk or swim, he said that his understanding is that the zombies can't. It will be interesting how the producers will insert the zombies to the show, while everyone is in the ocean.

"Fear the Walking Dead" will be back next year on AMC.
