Fergie Speaks Up on Divorce and Co-Parenting With Josh Duhamel
Fergie and Josh Duhamel are still a team despite their divorce.
The former Black Eyed Peas member and Duhamel called it quits last month, much to the surprise of fans. On Tuesday's episode of "The Talk," the "Big Girls Don't Cry" singer said she and her former spouse are still doing everything they can to co-parent their only child together.
"I'm good, as good as you can be with a separation," she shared. "The good thing is we don't lose each other as parents."
The singer-songwriter added, "All of our cousins are still cousins. Everything basically is staying the same, except we're not a romantic couple anymore. I love Josh. We're making it work. We're both working full time right now."
Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, started dating Duhamel in 2004. They tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their first and only child in August 2013. Although they have already been separated for a while, it was only in September that they announced their split.
Fergie, 42, also appeared on the Wendy Williams show where she talked about her divorce. The blonde beauty clarified that she was not the one who decided to separate from her ex. "It wasn't my plan. I wanted to stay married forever," Fergie told Williams as she fought back tears.
She went on to say that she still has plenty of love for the "Transformers: The Last Knight" actor and father to their son Axl. "I love Josh. He's the father of my child," Fergie continued.
The mother of one is currently busy promoting her new album "Double Dutchess," which came out last month. Duhamel, on the other hand, is working on his new film, "The Buddy Games." He is also set to appear on "Unsolved," an upcoming true crime TV series based on the murder investigations of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.
