The newly released trailer for the Square Enix game hints at an overhauled combat system. It is worth noting that the combat system is a far cry from the one in the original game. The new system ditched the turn-based battle system in favor of a more action-oriented system. However, the game has retained the classic menu commands, iDigital Times reports.

Meanwhile, it can be observed that the characters shown in the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" trailer are different. In addition, the graphics are noticeably more improved, the report relays.

"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will also be released first for PS4. It is expected to be available for other platforms later including the PC, Xbox One, and even the Nintendo NX, the report details.

The changes may seem spectacular for some fans, but the die-hard and traditional fans are expected to hurl a lot of criticisms against the new battle system of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." Still, iDigital predicts that a lot of fans will see the action-based RPG version as a better game than the turn-based version.

In conclusion, "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" was designed for the modern generation. The developers surely have anticipated fans' reactions and know that not all fans will appreciate it.
