'Fixer Upper' News: Chip and Joanna Gaines Denies Rumors About Security Concerns

Reality stars Chip and Joanna Gaines recently responded to rumors about why they decided to end their popular HGTV show "Fixer Upper."

Despite reports suggesting that the Gaineses opted to end the show for security reasons, the couple denies such allegations. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, a representative for the reality stars shared that as they said in their first announcement, Chip and Joanna decided to let go of "Fixer Upper" to focus on their business, family, and so they can have more time to relax.

In a report on Wednesday, US Weekly claimed that the couple decided to pull the plug on "Fixer Upper" due to concerns about their children's safety. The publication alleged that the Gaineses were worried about people who would drive by their place to snap photos of their kids — Drake, 12, Ella, 10, Duke, nine, and Emmie, seven.

Again, the Gaineses have denied such claims and are sticking to their previous declaration.

On Sept. 26, the couple announced through their blog that the upcoming season of "Fixer Upper" will be their last. They clarified that unlike what the rumors are saying it has nothing to do with a crumbling marriage. "Our family is healthy and our marriage has honestly never been stronger," they wrote.

Their decision to exit is also not related a skincare line which Joanna allegedly started. The family also denies those rumors.

"This is just us recognizing that we need to catch our breath for a moment," they continued. "Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family and our businesses."

The fifth and final season of "Fixer Upper" is slated to premiere this November on HGTV.
