'Friday the 13th: The Game' New Trailer, Release Date: Second Teaser Unveiled at PAX East
After its first-look trailer during the PAX West panel last September 2016, Gun Media released yet another teaser video for "Friday the 13th: The Game" during the PAX East 2017 event held on Friday, March 10.
Like the first trailer, the new preview is still full of gore and violence as expected. And most of all, it features a cheesy 80s-rock theme song.
The video shows the thriller franchise's merciless killer, Jason Voorhees, who terrorizes and kills a group of teenagers who are counselors at Camp Crystal Lake - as was the premise of the 1980 slasher flick.

Showing off several methods of killing, the video shows Jason either hacking, bludgeoning or dismembering a person to death, and breaking necks, jaws, and backbones in general.
Anticipating gamers can also get a glimpse of the newly designed Jason character, which is the first since the 2009 reboot of the film franchise. The redesign was created by Tom Savini, and it is based on the aftermath of the events of the 1993 "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday" film.
"Friday the 13th: The Game" offers an assymetrical multiplayer feature where a player can take on the role of the killer, Jason, while the others play as the teenage camp counselors. The game ends when Jason kills all of the campers, but the group can also gang up and try to get rid of the killer together. However, this requires exceptional teamwork.
Originally intended for an October 2016 release, the game was delayed because the developers decided to add a single-player option as well as several new pieces of content for the multiplayer mode.
No exact release date has been announced yet, but the game is already expected to launch within the year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One devices.
However, players can pre-order the game already, which is priced at $60 for its physical copy. An art book is also up for grabs for $49.
