'Friday the 13th: The Game' News: Halloween DLC and 'Tommy Jarvis Tapes' Released
Gun Media has released a new Halloween downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Friday the 13th: The Game."
The developer has been dropping a lot of content this month, but it looks like they are not done yet. Gun Media has unveiled the "Halloween Costume Pack," which is composed of ten spooky costumes for each character just in time for the holiday. Players can now grab the bundle for only $1.99. Those who want to see previews of the outfits before purchasing them can view a photo posted by the developers via Twitter on Wednesday.
A DLC for Jason is now available as well, according to reports. The new content adds three kills to the latest Jason's loadout. Based on their names, the three new kills seem like they will be more gruesome than the previous ones. In the product description, Gun Media calls the three additional kills "Throat Slit," "Kneecapper," and "Slam and Gut." Unfortunately, previews for the said kills were not featured on the listing.
Meanwhile, the game is set to deepen the film franchise's mythology even further with the addition of the Tommy Jarvis Tapes. Similar to the Pamela Tapes, the new in-game treasure can be found in every map. All 13 tapes were written by Adam Green ("Hatchet"), who is also an avid fan of the "Friday the 13th" franchise.
"We became friends with Adam Green through Kane a while back and wanted to find a way to work together," Gun Media's Wes Keltner told Bloody Disgusting. "We think what he's doing for horror is pretty special and he's a sharp guy, and has a strong literary pen to boot. With the fandom around the Pamela Tapes we thought it would be interesting to dive into the character of Tommy Jarvis too."
Developed by IllFonic and Gun Media, "Friday the 13th: The Game" is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
