'Frozen 2' News: Recording to Start Soon
After the success of "Frozen," there is much anticipation for the second installment of the animated franchise.
While there has yet to be any details announcing the plot of "Frozen 2," fans can expect the two leading ladies, Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel to reprise their roles as Anna and Elsa, respectively. With that, Bell was able to share some information about the progress of "Frozen 2" during an interview with Collider.
Bell explained that the storyline of "Frozen 2" will be important and engaging. There have been much skepicism on how the upcoming installment will relate to its predecessor, which gain much success from its emotional and relevant story. However, Bell explained that the team have worked on a great narrative, which was not just made to profit from the previous film. According to Bell, the recording for the upcoming animated film will soon begin.
She said, "We're just about to. They've just written it and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month."
Aside from Bell and Menzel, Josh Gad will also be reprising his role as Olaf. However, there has yet to be any details explaining what his character will be up to in the installment. There have been several speculations that Olaf might receive a love interest in the upcoming film.
Meanwhile, fans are still wondering about the return of Prince Hans. There are theories that Prince Hans will end up being Queen Elsa's romantic interest, despite his villainous ways in the first installment of the franchise. While this has yet to be confirmed, there is a high chance that there will be a new villain present in the upcoming film. Some suggest that a new character will be introduced to bring conflict to Anna and Elsa.
"Frozen 2" is expected to release in 2017.
