'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Spoilers: Two New Characters Coming in Finale Season

It's still a long way before the "Game of Thrones" Season 8 premiere but details regarding the upcoming season are already making their way to the internet. This time, it appears that two new characters will be joining the perpetually shrinking cast of characters. So who are they and what exactly do they bring to the table?

A casting notice was recently put out by the producers of the hit fantasy series. One is for a young Northern girl, between ages 8-10, who is described as having been raised in a family of soldiers and is a strong-minded young girl with a fighting spirit. The other is for a boy about the same age described as physically fit and having a distinctive face and coming from a poor background.

Speculations regarding the identity of the new characters are already out. The former appears to be similar to Lyanna Mormont's character, while a recast is not at all impossible, it would be very unlikely given her popularity.

It's more likely that the role is for one of her sisters, after all in the books she has a sister named Jorelle. It could also be another member of House Karstark if the show plans to shoot scenes in Karhold.

As for the boy, some suggest that it is the fake Aegon Targaryen or another bastard of King Robert Baratheon. Although it's unlikely that the showrunners have any more surprises lined up this close to the series finale.

"Game of Thrones" season 8 will only feature six episodes although these will be among the longest in the show's history. HBO has yet to release a premiere date although it is expected to air by next year.

With the Great War already underway, the final season is set to be the most action-packed one yet. Be sure to catch the exciting conclusion of "Game of Thrones" only on HBO.
