George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Wedding: Actor Denies Getting 'Cold Feet'; Did Couple Set a Date?

George Clooney recently denied a report claiming he is experiencing "cold feet" about his upcoming wedding to Amal Alamuddin.

The Hollywood actor, 53, announced his engagement to the British lawyer, 36, in April and contrary to a recent tabloid report a rep confirmed that the couple are very "happy" about getting married. On Wednesday OK! magazine claimed both Clooney and Alamuddin were regretting their engagement, however, this is said to be false.

"They are both happy and laughing at all the made up stories with fake sources," Clooney's rep told Gossipcop.com.

While the couple have not publicly revealed a wedding date, insiders claim they plan on tying the knot in Quebec on September 20, 2014. The couple celebrated their engagement with friends in Malibu last month.

"It's only four months away but they want to get married at the end of the summer, in early September, before Amal returns to work," a source told Page Six.

It is unclear whether the pair have begun wedding planning, however, an insider claims details will be kept private.

"They've told family and friends they will only disclose the location at the last minute, and it will be very private," an insider told Radar Online.

"Neither George nor Amal want the wedding to be a public affair — and her family really doesn't either," the source went on.

The couple first stepped out together publicly during an outing in London in October last year, three months after Clooney's split from former pro-wrestler Stacy Keibler. They have since enjoyed a number of globe-trotting jaunts including a trip to Tanzania and New York City.

Clooney, a successful actor and film producer, is passionate about humanitarian work and he has been at the forefront of advocacy for resolving the war in Darfur. Alamuddin, who was born in Beirut and raised in England, also has a philanthropic background.

The Lebanese-born human rights lawyer is currently representing Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and is an adviser to Kofi Annan, the special envoy to Syria.

"We weren't at all surprised when they told us they were engaged, and we couldn't be happier for them," Clooney's mom Nina said. "On an intellectual level, they are equals. That is very important to him. Amal's world couldn't be more different from the Hollywood lifestyle."
