'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 News, Spoilers: New Teaser Reveals Conflict At The ER
The past weeks saw the release of a shocking promo video for the mid-season premiere of the hit medical drama TV series "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12. The clip showed Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) getting attacked by a patient whom she is closely monitoring.
The person in question got up and started to strangle Meredith for reasons that are yet to be known.
Cast member Sarah Drew, who plays the role of Dr. April Kepner, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview:
"She's attacked really brutally, really viciously and in a completely surprising, weird way."
Fans are of course quite worried about what might happen to their favorite character. Will she be able to make it through the ordeal?
Melty.com recently shared another teaser video for Episode 9, which is called "The Sound of Silence," and it still features the tragic incident. This time around, however, the video shows Meredith's colleagues rallying around her to ensure her welfare.
She can be seen lying on the operating table while Maggie (Kelly McCreary), Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.), Alex (Justin Chambers), Owen (Kevin McKidd) and April are quite frantically trying to figure out what they should do to help Mer.
"We're gonna have to put in a test tube. Your lung is collapsing," a voice can be heard saying.
The next scene shifts to Meredith's point of view and it looks like the good doctor is close to losing her consciousness as she clings for her dear life.
"This is gonna burn…" Maggie seemed to warn the patient.
Dr. Webber then came into the scene and it seems like he's about to interrupt Maggie from what she's doing. He reminds the doctor that she cannot perform any procedure on the patient because they are related to each other.
"You cannot work on your family," Webber reminds Maggie.
"Everybody in this d*** room is her family!" Alex erupted.
Don't miss how these events unfold when "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 Episode 9 premieres Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
