'GTA V Online' March 2017 Update: New Cars, Stunt Races and Weaponized Vehicles Coming

Rockstar Games' multiplayer open-world game "Grand Theft Auto V Online," aka "GTA V Online," is confirmed to receive several new content and game expansions within this month.

The most prominent is the upcoming downloadable content expansion pack which will add more vehicles into the online game. However, the developers revealed that most of these were already seen during a previous installment of the game.

Cars such as the classics Turismo and Infernus are about to be added, but these were already first seen on "Grand Theft Auto III."

Rockstar Games explained that they are bringing in these classics since these are some of the "most requested" ones. Aside from that, a new car called the Progen GP1 supercar will also be introduced into the game.

In addition, "GTA V Online" now has 15 new stunt races added which are available because of the 2017 GTA Online Stunt Race Event. Players who are going to log in before March 13 will get freebies - including a Pink Jock Cranley Stuntman Jumpsuit - and will enjoy 25 percent off on a number of items such as the Annis RE-7B and the Vapid Trophy Truck.

Within March, a new update will also add a new stunt race permanently that is targeted to show off the abilities of vehicles such as the new Rocket Voltic, Ruiner 2000 and Blazer Aqua.

According to GameSpot, each set will try to focus on a vehicle's special ability - with players asked to go up in the sky and get out from the vehicle using a parachute, and wade into a body of water afterwards.

Rockstar Games also confirmed that they are currently working on new vehicle additions that are weaponized. This upcoming update will also include new missions and additional armory.

"Stock up and bunker down as you take on the craziest militias across the state of San Andreas in another massive update for GTA Online," Rockstar Games said in a statement.

In other news, the developers are also trying to curb cheaters in "GTA V Online" by implementing sanctions for anyone who is caught using such.

"If you attempt to cheat or modify GTA Online in any way, you will be detected, suspended and be subject to a character wipe," the developer warns, adding that they are doing this to weed out "bad apples" from the game and keep the fun clean and fair for everyone.

The upcoming updates are expected to roll out by spring, but most of the bigger ones are expected to come by summer this year.
