Harvey Weinstein in Rehab for Sex Addiction

In the wake of the sexual harassment allegations, Miramax co-founder Harvey Weinstein started attending treatment at an outpatient facility for sex addiction.

TMZ reported that the 65-year-old, who has been accused by over 30 women of sexual assault, has completed treatment in just a week despite reports of him sleeping during therapy sessions.

The psychologist reportedly confirmed that the producer was invested in the program. He showed up in all of his scheduled sessions. And he was fully engaged.

Weinstein was previously rumored to have spiraled out of control in his sessions but the psychologist denied such claims. There were instances that triggered Weinstein's anger, the psychologist admitted, but never to a point that it was unmanageable.

The fallen mogul is, according to the medical professional, being advised on "dealing with his anger, his attitude toward others, boundary work and the beginnings of work on empathy."

A representative told The Sun that the film mogul will continue to receive in-patient and out-patient treatment for another month. The rep confirmed that Weinstein is to stay in Arizona until then to avoid excessive distractions.

Moreover, the spokesperson for Weinstein released a statement through Entertainment Weekly responding to actress Lupita Nyong'o's sexual harassment allegations.

"Mr. Weinstein has a different recollection of the events, but believes Lupita is a brilliant actress and a major force for the industry," the statement reads.

"Last year, she sent a personal invitation to Mr. Weinstein to see her in her Broadway show, 'Eclipsed'."

Actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Beckinsale, and Cara Delevingne have spoken out about receiving unwanted sexual advances from the producer. Most who have come forward claim to have been invited to seemingly work-related meetings only to be summoned to Weinstein's personal quarters, where he asks sexual favors.
