'Hellboy' Reboot News: Ron Perlman Refuses To Talk Anymore About Reboot
Actor Ron Perlman is done talking about the "Hellboy" reboot and he would appreciate if people stop asking for his opinion about the movie.
In a recent Reddit AMA, Perlman was asked, once again, about his thoughts on the upcoming film now that Lionsgate has released the first image of David Harbour as the titular character. The 67-year old actor replied that he has made peace with it and that he refuses to answer any more questions about it.
While it might appear that Perlman is bitter about the reboot, especially when he and Guillermo Del Toro were eyeing a trilogy, a Facebook post he made in June showed him giving words of encouragement to Harbour.

"Good luck kid," Perlman declared. "Signed, the babe."
Perlman starred as the cigar-smoking demon back in 2004 with Del Toro's live-action adaption of the comic. He reprised the role in the 2008 sequel "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" and also lent his voice to the character in a couple of TV movies, as well as the 2008 video game "Hellboy: The Science of Evil."
It was revealed earlier that the upcoming "Hellboy" reboot will feature a darker tone in contrast to the comedic elements of the first two films. The R-rated film will be directed by Constantine director Neil Marshall and was originally planned to be titled "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen."
Aside from Harbour, the film will also star Milla Jovovich as the film's villain, Ian McShane as Professor Broom, and Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio. The film also made headlines after casting British actor Ed Skrein the Japanese-American Daimio which many criticized as another of Hollywood's whitewashing of traditionally minority roles.
Skrein willingly left the show saying that he was unaware of the character's heritage. Kim was later brought in as his replacement.
The "Hellboy" reboot was reportedly set to be released in January of 2019, however, Lionsgate later revealed that this was false and they have yet to decide on a date.
