'Himouto! Umaru-chan R' Anime Spoilers: Next Episode to Feature More Kirie-Komaru Interactions

It seems that a two-week absence can really make the heart grow fonder on the Japanese slice-of-life comedy anime series, "Himouto! Umaru-chan R." How has Taihei's business trip and eventual return affected his relationship with his younger sister, Umaru?

This week's episode saw Taihei going on the two-week business trip that he mentioned to Umaru in the prior episode. And while he was on the train, worrying about how life was going to be like for his sister without him around, Umaru herself appeared before him.

The girl has apparently come along on their business trip to Hamamatsu to get a taste of its famous eel. And although Taihei did accommodate his sister's request upon arriving at the station, he eventually sent her home, now somehow comforted that Umaru was going to be all right on her own.

However, when he did return home after two weeks, he found out that he may have given his sister too much confidence when he still ended up cleaning after her. In the end, a wailing Umaru confessed that she did terribly miss her brother and that it felt lonely not having him around.

Now that they both know how it's like to be apart from each other, will Taihei ever accept a business trip in another town again? On the other hand, will Umaru ever learn to live independently and without relying too much on her brother?

The preview for the next episode teases more interactions between Kirie and Umaru's home version, whom the former believes to be the latter's little sister.

"Himouto! Umaru-chan R" airs on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. JST on AT-X and at midnight JST on Tokyo MX and BS11.
