'House of Cards' Season 3 Release Date: Trailer Comes With A 'Special Message From the White House'

The premiere date for "House of Cards" season 3 has been announced by Netflix via their official Twitter. The series' third season is scheduled to be released on Feb. 27, 2015. Accompanying the tweet was a short teaser featuring Kevin Spacey's character now President Frank Underwood walking up the steps onto Air Force One.

A simple message was sprawled across the teaser and said, "A special message from the White House." Much like its first two seasons, the third season's 13-episode run will be streamed on Netflix.

Season 3 will most likely continue where Season 2 left off, when Frank had just outed the previous president's marriage counseling visits to the public. The moe had triggered events which caused the then President Garret Walker to step down from the position. It was then that Frank was seen swearing the oath as the new President.
