'House of Cards' Season 4 News: Frank Underwood Has a New Challenger

One of the stars from the hit TV series "House of Cards" revealed some interesting details about his experience in shooting the season.

The fifth season of "House of Cards" introduced a new character to challenge Frank Underwood. The man behind the new character, Joel Kinnaman, recently spoke to the Wall Street Journal about what to expect.

Kinnaman, who plays the role of Frank Underwood's adversary named Will, explain that he enjoyed working with Kevin Spacey. He described Spacey's character as a "stone-cold killer" with sophistication. He said, "It's real fun to play with Kevin. He's a stone-cold killer. [He's] so in that character and having so much fun with it. It's like he always has a cocktail in his hand, leaning on a piano somewhere. He's super smooth with it."

He explained that the dynamics between Frank and Will presented an interesting challenge for both characters. Kinnaman said that Will will be an intriguing obstacle for Frank as he will be a different kind of opponent for the political figure.

He said, "That's what really drew me to the part. It was an opponent he hadn't faced before. Someone who was formidable, but a different kind of threat. But in many ways, I think they're two sides of the same coin. They have a real ruthlessness to them. You get the feeling that they will do anything to get the power they are after."

With that, fans can expect to see an interesting shift in power for the current season of "House of Cards." Will will certaintly play an impactful role alongside Frank Underwood.

"House of Cards" Season 4 is available on Netflix. There has yet to be any official announcement regarding the release date of "House of Cards" Season 5.
