'How to Train Your Dragon 3' Spoilers: New Plot Speculation Released; Hiccup and Toothless to Part Ways?

Fans still have three years to wait before "How to Train Your Dragon 3" premieres, and a lot are already speculating what will happen in the upcoming film. Reports are saying that there will be a major split between Hiccup and Toothless, and fans were saddened to hear about the possibility of it.

According to Movie News Guide, the new movie may leave fans crying after seeing the new film in 2018, which will also serve as the end of the trilogy of Hiccup and Toothless' story. The website said that the two characters may go on separate ways, unlike the first two installments where Hiccup and Toothless are almost inseparable.

According to Cross Map, Dean DeBois, the director of the film, revealed that Hiccup will finally reach his last stage of maturity, and "How to Train Your Dragon 3" will show Hiccup and Toothless as "leaders of their own respective tribes." "It's a dueling story where you have both characters trying to do what's right for their kind, and an eventual outcome where Hiccup is able to stand on his own," DeBois said. Fans speculate that there might really be some separation that will happen between the main characters in the next movie.

The director also said, "We're gonna take the story to where the books begin, which is Hiccup as an adult reflecting back on a time where there were dragons, suggesting that the dragons will in some way go away. Why and could they come back and the mystery of what all that is will be saved for the actual story." Fans can't wait to see what the director and the creative team behind third installment will be able to come up from now until 2018.

The film will be produced by Bonnie Arnold, and Dean DeBois will serve as the director and executive producer, according to PR Newswire. "How to Train Your Dragon 3" will star Gerard Butler, Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T. J. Miller, Craig Ferguson, Kristen Wiig, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

The movie will premiere in cinemas on June 29, 2018.
