The Indiana Pacers will play the Miami Heat on Friday night in Game 6 of their NBA 2014 Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals series. The Heat will have another chance at closing out the series tonight, and they will be urgent to do so to avoid things going back to Indiana for a winner takes all Game 7. Tonight's game will start at 8.30 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through free live stream (details below).
Having gone down 1-3 in the series the Pacers needed to win three straight games against the Heat to win the Eastern Conference title and eliminate Miami. They managed to win the first of the three in Game 5, defeating the Heat 93-90 earlier this week, and now they must complete the second step of their three-stage challenge.
However, Game 5 was won in Indiana where as tonight they must accomplish the same result at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida. That is an entirely different challenge, but if they can manage to do so they will level the series at 3-3 and have the advantage of playing the do or die Game 7 in front of their home crowd.
The Pacers successfully took advantage of LeBron James' foul trouble in Game 5 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and for once James did not seem at his best. However, he is unlikely to misfire so badly too games in a row, and Indiana can expect a reaction from James and co. as they try to close out things in front of thousands of their home fans tonight in Miami.
