'Injustice 2': Catwoman Officially Joins the Fray
NetherRealm Studios' DC fighting sequel "Injustice 2" is getting better than ever as new characters are revealed almost every week. With over a month to go before it launches, another fighter is officially announced with a trailer of her own.
The latest video clip brings back Selina Kyle, more popularly known as the unpredictable and fickle Catwoman. She returns with her usual acrobatic flair, comely physique and sharp claws, making her one of the favorites of the game.
While everyone is not surprised to see her in the sequel as she has been in the original title, her skills definitely are buffed up, showcasing moves she has never done before. Her iconic whip now makes an appearance, used adeptly in battle. She runs an enemy over with her motorcycle, making her brutal. Also, true to her name, she also sends a cat to deal damage to her foe.
Her ultimate move reveals just how dirty she fights, as she sends her motorcycle crashing onto her enemy after she literally drags the poor foe with her whip. She's definitely not one to mess around with.
This isn't the first time that Catwoman made an appearance in "Injustice 2." A trailer back in February was revealed, which first featured Cheetah, Catwoman, Poison Ivy along with Black Canary. It only goes to show that the upcoming skirmish isn't short of girl power.
There are currently 11 slots left to be filled, with one to be taken by Darkseid as a preorder bonus. Whoever the remaining 10 characters will be, they will arguably be met with joyous applause as the game's release draws near. Fans are holding on to their hats as they patiently await whoever will be completing the roster for another successful title.
"Injustice 2" arrives on PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One platforms on May 16, 2017.
