Inspiring Commencement Speech From Jim Carrey on How His Father Inspired Him to Follow His Dreams

An actor usually known for his hilarious comedic acts and over-the-top comedy did something unexpectedly inspirational. Jim Carrey gave a commencement speech at Maharishi in Fairfield, Iowa.

He reflected on how his father inspired him to never play it safe when it came to following his dreams. One very memorable quote from this inspirational speech is one that his father always told him.

"You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love."
