iOS 11, watchOS 4 Release Date News: New Apple Operating Systems to Launch on Sept. 19

Apple has finally unveiled their next generation technology, include their new operating system, the iOS 11, which will power the brand new iPhone X.

At the Apple event last Tuesday, the company not only revealed their highly-anticipated 10th anniversary iPhone edition but also the Apple Watch Series 3, Apple TV 4K, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus. Tech enthusiasts can expect these devices to come with the latest technologies, as the iOS 11 brings in new upgrades to the interface, to Siri, to the ARKit, and more.

As expected, the iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus will come with the new operating system. All compatible units, on the other hand, will receive the new update this Tuesday, Sept. 19.

To note, only the following units will be able to receive the update: iPhone 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7, 7 Plus, 5th generation iPad, iPad, iPad mini 2, 3, 4, all iPad Air models as well as Pro models and the iPad Touch sixth generation.

With the iOS 11 update, iPad and iPhone user will have a new customizable control center. A new keyboard for one-hand use will also be introduced. As for the iPad Pro users, they will find a revamped multitasking feature and Files app. Users can connect various storage spaces such as Dropbox and Google Drive to the Files app. Transferring and collating documents will also be easier now that a drag and drop feature is available.

Also coming this Sept. 19 is the new watchOS 4 which will power the Apple Watch Series 3. All models of the smartwatch will be able to receive the update. This operating system will introduce new watch faces, and new improvements to Apple's voice assistant, Siri. The latest heart rate monitoring system, called the Apple Heart Study, which detect any irregularities will also come with watchOS 4.

The company hopes that their Apple Heart Study will be able to detect heart disease in the future.
