iOS 8 Jailbreak Available by Pangu: Step-by-Step Directions to Install

A much anticipated iOS 8 Jailbreak has arrived and is brought to the public by the Chinese jailbreak team, Pangu. The tool is called the Pangu8 tool and has already been updated to version 1.1.0, which adds English support and the latest Cydia. Among the features of the update were improvements to the tool as well as bug fixes.

Currently, the jailbreaking tool is only available on the Windows PC but a Mac version will be released soon by the team.

Unlike the iOS 7 Jailbreak, the process for the iOS 8 jailbreak are simpler and take a much shorter time to complete. Much with any jailbreak, making backups of your device's data is imperative and it might be easier to install a legitimate version of the iOS 8 first to lessen the chances of running into installation problems.

Much like a legitimate iOS 8, the jailbreak is only compatible with the iPhone 4S or better, the iPad 2 and higher, all iPad Minis, and the iPod Touch 5th generation. Also, ensure that you have an adequate knowledge about jailbreaking, otherwise, seek help or do not attempt to jailbreak your device as it may cause damage to your Apple device.

Before starting the jailbreaking process, ensure that all firewall programs and anti-virus programs are disabled and that the device should be at at least 80 percent battery charge. Also, make sure that you have a copy of the jailbreaking program, which you can download by clicking this link.

Start by connecting the Apple device to your computer and following the steps enumerated below:

1. Enable Airplane mode. Disable the Passcode settings from Settings/TouchID & Passcode. Turn off the "Find my iPhone" settings from Settings/iCloud/Find my iPhone.

2. Launch the Pangu jailbreak application. Ensure that the program detects your Apple device. Click the "Start Jailbreak" button after detection.

3. Select the "Already Did" option to proceed.

4. Wait for the progress bar to reach the end. Your device should reboot afterwards. The device should now be jailbroken and the Cydia icon should appear on the home screen.
