iPhone 6 Price Gets Reduced in Russia, Apple App Store Following as Well?

Apple proved the tech industry that it can join the trend when it launched its very first iPhone phablet last year.

Now that both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have exceeded expectations and broken sales records, the Cupertino manufacturer is trying its best to expand the adoption rate of its latest handsets.

However, the announcements of high-end Android devices this year may have slowed down Apple's goal in terms of sales. As a result, the manufacturer has reduced the rates in one of its key markets – Russia.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have reduced their prices in the country, bringing the price down by as much as RUB5,000 for the 4.7-inch phone, and RUB8,000 for the 5.5-inch handset.

In the report, the iPhone 6 now costs RUB48,990 for the 16GB model, while the 64GB and 128GB versions are priced at RUB55,990 and RUB62,990 respectively.

On the other hand, the iPhone 6 Plus also had a significant price cut to its units.

The basic model (16GB) is priced at RUB55,990, the 64GB edition costs RUB62,990, and the top-end 128GB edition gets a RUB69,999 price tag.

In the report, there are also some apps from the Apple Store that have reduced prices as well. Some apps that cost RUB62 are now priced at just RUB59.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are considered the most successful iPhones in Apple history, helping the company sell 70 million iPhones during Q4 2014.
