iPhone 6 Rumors: Finished Rear Shell Appears in New Images

Pictures of what could be the finished rear shell for the iPhone 6 leaked onto the internet earlier this week.

The images were posted by uSwitch.com and feature a more polished back plate than the ones that have been seen in previous leaks. Holes for the camera and flash can be seen at the top and an Apple logo appears in its regular position. It is said to be an embedded version of the logo which will replace the printed one found on previous models.

The flash hole is round which some are considering to be suspect since Apple moved to a pill-shaped version with the iPhone 5.

The smartphone's release date should be coming soon as the device will begin entering into production this month. Reuters reported last week that the 4.7-inch model manufacturing phase will commence before the end of July and production for the 5.5-inch version will begin sometime in August. It also states that Foxconn is set to hire about 100,000 new employees to meet the future demand for the device. Pegatron will also ramp up hiring for device's release and Foxconn plans to deploy around 10,000 robots to help employees with the less intensive tasks.

Apple normally unveils the new iPhone models in September, and this model will probably be no different. With the device entering into production in July, the company should be ready to debut the 4.7-inch model around the time. The 5.5-inch version might come a little later.

The Touch ID fingerprint sensor for the upcoming iPhone 6 can be seen in some new photos leaked earlier last week.

The pictures surfaced on Nowhereelse.fr and show that the component is very similar to the one on the iPhone 5s, however, some of the screw holes have been moved to line up with the redesigned metal housing of the device.
