iPhone 6s Rumors, Release Date: Vodafone UK Claims September 25 Release
Taking note of Apple's naming schemes in previous years, it is most likely that the new iPhone will be named as the iPhone 6s.
But while there are still no solid details about Apple's latest iOS version, there appears to be a rumor circulating that the new iPhone 6s already has launch and release dates.
According to a report by GSM Arena, a leak from Vodafone U.K. claims that the "new iPhone," as it was referred to, will be released in the U.K. on Sept. 25. Naturally, the launch date would be a week earlier, on Sept. 18.
Similar to previous years of launch, the rumored dates of Sept. 18 and 25 are both Fridays, which makes the claim valid as of now.
Based on previous rumors, the iPhone 6s will reportedly boast a 12MP primary camera, the first camera sensor upgrade by Apple since the iPhone 4.
In addition, there will be a 2GB of RAM, which is another first for Apple, who has kept the memory of its smartphones to just 1GB for the past several years.
According to the rumor, the announcement and release dates only apply to the U.K., and not the U.S.
Like other rumors, we better take these reports with a pinch of salt.
