iPhone X Vs Google Pixel 2 XL Specs, Reviews, Comparison: Apple Wins By A Notch
It's that time of the year where flagship models of the biggest smartphone manufacturers go head to head. This time its Apple's iPhone X against Google's second-generation smartphone Pixel 2 XL.
First off are the phone's looks which is definitely one of the most distinguishing aspects of a smartphone. While Apple's pride and joy did receive a lot of flak for its notch, it still has the look and feel of a modern phone. On the other hand, Google's contender can easily be lost in a sea of similarly designed phones.
Sure the Pixel 2 XL has minimal bezels than its iOS-powered counterpart but it still looks older than the stunning design of the iPhone X. The Pixel is also a bit larger than the iPhone and while size is absolutely arbitrary, bigger not always better for some people.
Camera-wise however, the Google comes out as the victor after image rating website DxOMark placed Apple's flagship behind it with a score of 97 behind the Pixel's 98. But while image quality secured the win for the Pixel, it wasn't a runaway victory either.
That isn't the case internally, however, as the A11 Bionic processor in the iPhone X leaves the Snapdragon 835 chip in the Pixel 2 XL in the dust in terms of performing resource-intensive tasks and in synthetic benchmarks.
Apple also takes the cake in the field of the display after it finally caught up with the competition by giving its latest flagship with an OLED touch-screen display. While Google does have a bigger screen size of 6 inches, it also suffers from some display-quality issues such as weird color balance and OLED burn-in. while Apple's 5.8-inch screen doesn't really have any notable ones to speak of.
Price-wise, the Google Pixel 2 XL is a clear winner being $150 cheaper than the iPhone X. There's also the iOS and the Android mobile operating system although decisions based on these two factors these two are often up to user preference rather than performance. In that field, Apple is definitely the winner.
