Jaclyn Smith Tears Up Over Farrah Fawcett After Court Hearing

Jaclyn Smith was overcome by emotion while defending the former boyfriend of her late co-star Farrah Fawcett in a lawsuit hearing this week.

The 68-year-old actress and Fawcett appeared in the "Charlie's Angels" television series together from 1976 to 1981. Today, Smith is still mourning Fawcett's 2009 death- the actress was 62.

Furthermore, on Monday, Smith made a tearful plea in front of cameras at a Los Angeles courthouse stating that an Andy Warhol painting of Fawcett rightfully belonged to her late friend's longtime boyfriend, Ryan O'Neal.

"I really feel that Farrah would want that portrait with Ryan and then onto Redmond," the actress said outside the courtroom, referring to Fawcett and O'Neal's only son, Redmond, according to the Los Angeles Times.

"As hard as it is, he looks so great, Farrah would be proud," Smith added of Redmond.

"And, um, the emotion is too much to describe that," the actress continued, fighting tears and dabbing her eyes with a tissue.

"She's here," Smith said of Fawcett. "I feel that she's here. She would say, 'Hey, these are my guys and they're going to win."

O'Neal has been fighting for the portrait against the University of Texas at Austin who claims that the work is part of the other artwork that Fawcett left to her alma mater.

Smith's statements could end the weeks-long civil trial over the ownership of the priceless piece of artwork. However, as of Wednesday morning, a verdict had not been reached, according to ABC News

The portrait of Fawcett is one of two painted by Warhol in 1980 and is estimated to be worth millions. O'Neal claims that the famous artist gave one to Fawcett and one to him, but that his hung in Fawcett's home because of her preferences.

An iconic piece, the artwork features Fawcett's famous blonde fly-away hairstyle as well as her blue eyes and red lips. See a photo here.
