'Jane the Virgin' Spoilers: Alex Meneses to Guest Star Next Season
"Telenovela" alum Alex Meneses is set to guest star in the upcoming season of "Jane the Virgin." The actress will play a recurring role in the fourth season of the show.
Deadline reports that Meneses will portray a business mogul, Katherine, owner of the Cortes Hotel Conglomerate. Not much has been said about the guest star's role but her character is expected to be an investor of Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and ex-wife Petra's (Yael Grobglas) hotel.
Rafael's failure in his financial endeavors, however, has got him booted out of the business. His sister Luisa (Yara Martinez) made the decision. Fortunately for Rafael, his baby's mother Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will lend him a hand in this tough time.
"He sort of takes over the Villanueva house, and it does create a stress in [his] relationship [with Jane]," executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman told TV Line.
Although Rafael is still in the running for Jane's future lover, it is unclear if the pair will really get together this time around, as Jane's childhood friend and the former flame will re-enter her life.
Another character set to appear in the fourth season of "Jane the Virgin" will be portrayed by "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey. He will play the role of a graphic novel illustrator named Adam, the titular character's first love. Jane has been through so much through the years that she and Adam no longer follow the same pace. Compared to Jane, Adam is more youthful and is still full of energy.
The pair will reunite as they are set to collaborate on a project. Adam will illustrate and Jane will write the content.
As of now, details about Jane's former love are being kept under wraps. Urman promised a backstory of how Adam came to be the title role's first love.
"Jane the Virgin" season 4 premieres on The CW on Friday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. EDT.
