Jason Aldean News: Country Singing Superstar, Wife Return to Las Vegas a Week After Shooting Incident

While the Las Vegas mass shooting incident last Oct. 1 was nothing short of traumatizing, Jason Aldean and wife Brittany Kerr have recently returned to the place where they could have met their demise, too, if luck had not been on their side.

Country singer Aldean was performing during the Route 91 Harvest music festival last Oct. 1 when the suspect, Stephen Paddock, fired shots from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino before 10 p.m. that day. While the mass shooting incident, which is considered to be the worst in U.S. history, has resulted in the death of 58 civilians and left more than 500 people injured, Aldean was lucky to have cheated death.

However, despite the horrific impact of the incident, Aldean and his wife, Kerr, an "American Idol" alum, recently returned to the same spot where the incident happened. In a recent Instagram post, Kerr posted a photo of her and Aldean facing the Mandalay Bay, taken last Sunday, Oct. 8, or exactly a week after the tragedy happened.

"Feels surreal being back in Vegas today. Visiting some of the strongest people we have ever met... fighting the toughest battle of them all... for their lives. You have helped us try to begin the healing process by seeing the strength each one of you have. Thank you for today. We will never forget," Kerr captioned her post.

According to reports, Aldean spent time with the victims of the tragedy who are still recuperating at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. Based on the Facebook post of the said hospital, Aldean spent time with the victims, and that his visit has helped in the healing of the victims in one way or another.

Meanwhile, although the real motive of the culprit may never really be known, as Paddock killed himself after supposedly anticipating arrest from authorities heading to his hotel room, reports claim that law enforcement officials believe Paddock had severe mental illness that went undiagnosed.
