Jenelle Evans' Baby Daddy Speaks Out, Wants a 'Better Mother' for Son
Jenelle Evans' ex-boyfriend and father of her son Jace wants to have more of an influence in his son's life. Charles Andrew Lewis, who was only seen twice during the run of "16 & Pregnant" and "Teen Mom," claims he is deliberately being kept away from Jace.
"She doesn't want Jace to know that I'm his father. I tried to come see Jace, but they won't let me come see him. I texted Barbara (Jenelle's mother, who has custody of the boy) and asked her if I could see Jace. Straight up, she said, 'No!'" Lewis told Radar Online.
Lewis appeared on the final season of "Teen Mom" after Evans took a paternity test to determine that he was actually Jace's father. The two talked via Skype and made plans to see one another, but they fell through. Then, Lewis and Evans hashed things out again on the season wrap-up with Dr. Drew Pinsky, with Lewis again pleading to see his son.
According to Lewis, Evans and her mother have been unyielding in their refusal to let him see Jace. They claim that he is seriously delinquent in paying any child support and want him to prove himself before meeting and spending time with Jace.
"Me and my mom went up there (to North Carolina) and talked to Jenelle and Barbara in person probably like three years ago. They were like, 'We'll take pictures and videos. We know you guys live a long ways. We'll keep in touch.' They never did anything," Lewis said.
"I wish I could find a better mother for Jace. From a father's point of view, hell yeah it bothers me. She's about dumber than a [expletive] brick. It's common sense: heroin, it's stupid," Lewis added when asked about Evans' arrest for possession in April.
"I've done heroin," Lewis said. "I've done parties; I've done this, done that, but I've always stepped up to my problem. As soon as she gets blamed, she goes right back out and does it again. Yet she knows the consequences because she's already gotten caught."
Evans has not responded to Lewis' allegations.
