Jeremy Lin News: Nets Guard Talks About Loss to Sixers; Lin Addresses Feud With Kenyon Martin
Jeremy Lin talks about where his team stands after they lost to the Philadelphia 76ers. Meanwhile, he also addressed the feud between him and former Brooklyn Nets player Kenyon Martin.
Last Wednesday, Oct. 11, the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Philadelphia 76ers with a 133–144 standing at the Nassau Coliseum for the National Basketball Association (NBA) preseason games.
Although the Brooklyn Nets recently had D'Angelo Russel, DeMarre Carroll, and Allen Crabbe join ship, their point guard thinks that their talent in the team is not enough and that, hopefully, their true colors show once the season begins.
"I think we're definitely more talented, [but] demeanor is too early to tell. ... The real character and mindset and demeanor of everybody comes out in the regular season," Lin shared in an interview with the New York Post.
Many still see the Brooklyn Nets as one of the worst teams to bet on during the NBA season. However, Lin doesn't pay any mind to what the public says about them and he continues to see that they're doing "pretty good."
"At the end of the day it's our job to figure things out, and prove that to everybody else. [Wednesday] was not a step in that direction, but hopefully you learn. You win or you learn," Lin explained.
Meanwhile, Lin addressed the feud between him and Martin because of the comments he made about him getting dreadlocks.
"He reached out and he was extremely apologetic... it was a great conversation," Lin revealed, the Nets Daily reports.
Lin added that Martin was very courteous during their conversation and that he's thankful that they finally had the chance to talk things out. He also added that he was sorry for what his fans said about Martin and his son just to get back at him for his racist comments.
"We're beyond that and hopefully I don't have to speak about this incident or my hair anymore," Lin said.
