Jessa Duggar-Seewald Holds 'Fall-Themed' Baby Shower with Family
Jessa Duggar-Seewald celebrated her first pregnancy by holding a fall-themed baby shower last week, which also involved the men in her family.
A couple of weeks before her Nov. 1 due date, Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald shared their happiness and excitement over their first baby by throwing a fall-inspired baby shower in a barn. On Oct. 15, more than a hundred family members and friends — including the men — participated in the celebration and enjoyed the games and activities, according to HNGN.
Jessa and Ben Seewald chose to celebrate the special day for their upcoming baby in a barn owned by a friend in Highfill, Arkansas. The whole event was recorded and will be aired during the TLC special episode titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," Ace Showbiz reports.
The guests in Duggar's baby shower enjoyed competing with other participants in milk drinking and diaper changing contests. The event was a dream-come-true for the new father-to-be, who wanted the shower to be "guy-friendly," the report details.
An insider narrated how the ladies participated in a challenge where they had to change a diaper on a mock baby doll with their eyes closed. Jessa was the grand winner in this competition. The last activity, which was Ben's idea, involved him and three other friends competing against one another to see who could make the best baby food, the report relays.
Following the fall theme of the event, a pumpkin-designed dessert bar was set up for the guests to enjoy, and a self-service hotdog fire pit was also there. As for the presents, the Seewald couple asked their guests to write prayers of blessing for them because they were planning to store the written prayers in a keepsake.
For now, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are staying mum on the gender of their baby. During the baby shower, they served to kinds of drinks — Pink Lemonade and Blue Hawaiian Punch — to keep their guests speculating on whether they are going to have a baby girl or a boy.
