Jessica Alba may appear in a swimsuit on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, but she admitted that being a sex symbol is not who she is at all. While others may have used their sexuality to their advantage to get big parts, Alba, a mother of two, said she never left her dignity on the casting couch.

''I never slept my way through Hollywood, so I never felt like I compromised," the 33-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly. "Apparently people do it, I didn't. I felt like I never compromised myself because I'm a prude. I don't know. I grew up Catholic. In my head I'm always thinking, 'Oh God, can my grandma see this?'"

During her career, she said that she has always been portrayed as a sex symbol, but that was largely the media and interviewers' doing, not her own. In fact, she even spiced up her actual life with a white lie or two in the past.

"I'm kind of a prude, and I didn't really understand. They would always ask me provocative questions about my sexuality, my this or that," Alba explained. "Sometimes I would lie and say something that wasn't true to make myself seem more interesting than I was. … I mean, I didn't even know how to walk in heels until I went to the Golden Globes for the first time."

However, Alba has grown comfortable with the portrayal, as long as it's of a character she's playing— returning to Nancy in the upcoming "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" is one such role. The film will revolve around the events of the first, very popular "Sin City" which helped turn Alba into a household name.
